An electrician must certify their work.
A CoC is a document which must be issued within 20 working days of the work being done (Electrical Safety Regulations 2010). A CoC states who did the work, who the work was done for, what the work was, testing results as per section 8 (earth continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, earth loop, RCD operation) ASNZS:3000:2007 and other declarations as laid out here. CoCs are required by inspectors when livening mains.
